A Family in Mourning.

The boys have had such high expectations for the Vikings this year. A great new stadium, AP back full force and an amazing QB…Teddy Two Gloves AKA Jack’s favorite player.

That all came to a screeching halt before we even got the season on the way. Yesterday in practice Teddy Bridgewater (our QB) tore is ACL. Usually when there’s an injury in practice, they move the practice to another part of the field. This was so devastating to the players, that the Vikings actually cancelled practice.

Jason was working from home yesterday. He walked into the room and buried his face head first into the pillows and just laid there. I figured it was a work thing. He then looked up and said, “I am so sick to my stomach. Have you been on twitter?” My first thought was that someone broke their leg or an appendage in a terrible manner and he saw it on twitter. But no. He then said, “TB tore his ACL. Out for rest of season.” And he left the room.

I told Jack when he got home from school. I thought he was going to cry.

This is the text I got from Sam when he heard the news.

So, if we seem a little down. Please excuse us. It’s already been a tough football season. But at least we have the new stadium!
